The flow coupling is used in conjunction with subsurface safety valves, sliding sleeves, and landing nipples on tubing strings of the production well. The flow coupling is used to protect the integrity of downhole tools and tubing. It can prevent tools or tubing from being affected by turbulent erosion.

　　Field experience has indicated that Flow Couplings should be a minimum of 3 feet long and PTP offer Flow Couplings in 3, 4, 6- and 8-foot lengths as standard, however, alternate lengths are available upon request.
